2009 BET HIPHOP AWARD NOMINATIONS ARE LAUGHABLE!!!

This year’s BET award nominations are now in, but there’s a new element the show’s coordinators are bringing to the table…A BLOG CATEGORY. Guess what? The folks over at BET don’t know what the fuck they’re doing!

Here’s the nominees for the best blog award:

WSHH (aka World Star Hip Hop) Let’s talk about worldstarrrhiphop.com – this site is NOT a blog site at all!!! They simply showcase videos other people produce (for a hefty fee). So, they’re not much different than youtube (but youtube.com is free). According to John Cusack, worldstarhiphop.com stunts their numbers. I’ve seen it with my own eyes In others words, they’re a bunch of fucking thieves with no editorial or street cred… Not to mention they showcase the worst of the worst of black culture! Que is a sucka now and always!

Sohh.com Once again, this is not a blog site. It’s a fucking urban news site, and a pretty shitty at that. They basically are the same as Allhiphop.com without the history or audience AHH has! Boring. What are the guys over at BET thinking?

nahright.com is yet another nominated blog site, but they don’t have any content of their own. Many could argue that would place them damn near under the umbrella of plagiarism, because they STEAL STORIES all day, every day. We will accept the view that they are gatekeepers for interesting items from pop culture. None-the-less they don’t produce a bit of content themselves. No movies, no clips, no music. Just purveying contemporary pop culture.

Allhiphop.com also made the cut, but again it’s not a BLOG SITE, again like SOHH they are an urban news site. Nonetheless, allhiphop.com does have some solid players on their team… ILL SEED (for one). He’s a dude who’s been blogging for years and guess what? I like ILL SEED – he’s the person who should of been nominated. They fact he was overlooked while the others are credited is a joke. Hiphop has been turning to ILL SEED for entertainment for damn near a decade give or take.

Thisis50.com also landed a spot on the list of nominees (as they should have) – 50 creates his own content own content, and I respect that. This is 50.com reminds me of hollywoodstreetking.com. Know why? Cuz we both create our own content mane! Hands down Fiddy and his pimpin curly series had me dyin during the earlier part of 2009. Plus dude has music, art and various other ORIGINAL content combined with contemporary pop culture to make it way more entertaining.

I’m not surprised in the least that hollywoodstreedking.com was over looked by the BET nominations, and am not mad either…Know why? BET is totally bad for young black teenagers. The Black Entertainment Television station focuses too much on sex and materialistic items.

I wonder how Russell Simmons feels about his site globalgrind.com being over-looked by BET? Truth be told Global Grind is complete garbage. It’s now Russell Simmons personal tool to promote bullshit so called celebrities like Sophie Monk even that whore Ashley Dupre. You heard the new single Russ tried to promote through his blog right?Global Grind is a peddler of watered down pop culture to beholdedn to the celebrity dick they cover.

Where the fuck is Bossip or media take-out on this nomination list. Those two blogs each generate more traffic daily than all the sites nominated combined. Who is the person responsible for this at BET. This once again proves the point of just how OUT-OF-TOUCH Black Entertainment Television is!
