This list is so lame. Each description is full of jealously plain and simple. Black people can be diverse and we should celebrate our diversity. You seem to think that all black be should act the same – act “Black”, whatever the fuck that means! What credentials do you have determine what is proper “blackness”? We can’t advance as colored folks until we decide who we want to be. We are a colorful and vibrant race but each time someone popular or “inspiring” comes out and says we are headed in the wrong direction, our race has a tendency to take a shit on whoever is currently doing what that person believes is wrong. What we can’t forget is that a lot of good comes out of bad! Before you got you a Denzel Washington, Forrest Whittaker, Sidney Portier, Ertha Kitt, and Angela Bassetts, there were dozens of actors of color who had to play the role putting a crack in the doors that these same actors have walked through. Sure you have a bunch of actors/rappers/singers making bullshit right now, but at least there is more color out there. No, it’s not the color you would like to see but if weren’t for them, there wouldn’t be color at all right now. Someday, there will be a time when color won’t matter in entertainment and persons of color you favor will be in the spotlight but shouldn’t even have the audacity to take a shit on those who paid there dues because right now, the whole black race is a mixture of sellouts. Women got straight hair and fake nails, Men who talk the talk on the streets got to act all fake in front of white folk. Black men wearing suits instead of African garbs. Drug dealers selling dope to their own people. People who tear down anybody of colot that’s successful or not black or hard enough. Anyone who fits these criteria should be on this list. Because who are we trying to be…. Black People or the Black version of white people?

I think T-Pain is an extremely creative artist who is evolving all the time. The music industry and acting industry is worlds apart from us everyday folk who go to work everyday on 9-5 or whatever shift jobs. I say comment on your own realm. After reading this article and reading some of the comments on here, it still holds true that our race of people are still fucked up in the mind. Until we break out of the “slave mentality” and “crabs in the barrel” complex, we will never rise up as a nation. We rather hate and talk down on our own because they made the sacrifices and faced the challeges of their success where others dare not.
Last time I looked, skin complexion, hair texture, clothes, education, career choice and dialect DOES NOT validate your Blackness. It’s about knowing, understanding and loving your history and letting it be a part of who you are and being the best that YOU can be.
