Auto-Tune?
Some of you may ask, what is auto-tune?
It’s T-Pain the fake talk box sound that happened to spread throughout the industry like a wildfire. I can’t say every song on his album was AUTO-TUNE (cuz I never bought it), but from what I’ve heard of Wayne’s album all those songs were AUTO-TUNE!
This fake talk box sound which anybody can do made Akon rich. No talent needed, even Yung Berg can do it.
I was surprised to see and hear Kanye getting in on the action. Kanye has a new song out that all the chics love. Kanye uses Auto Tune from start to finish in this song that I happen to Hate so fucking much. I don’t use that word much but in this case I Hate AUTO-TUNE!
Most musicians do. The music game is so fucked up. They got T-Pain running aroung like he’s Peter Frampton, Stevie Wonder, or the late great Roger Troutman. Those cats were really playing those notes. I gotta give it up to Teddy Riely, Dj Quik, and others who keep the talk box real.
Britney Spears and Madonna have been using AUTO-TUNE. Most people who can’t sing do. Us producers can pitch your vocal into the proper key. Chimpmunk your vocal a little and the ears of the POP market will love it.
There’s a rumor running around T-Pain and his nasty fat ass is saying this album he’s releasing is the last of him using Auto-Tune. THANK GOD!! I pray and hope others like Wayne and Kanye will follow. I am not a fan of the vocoder so of course am gonna Hate AUTO-TUNE.
AUTO-TUNE will will ruin your taste in music which will hinder your climb on The Ladder To $ucce$$
