HERE’S JOHNNY…………

Los Angeles Publicity company headed by Johnny Johnson or has he would have people believe Johnny Royal. Johnny comes from a background of finance and classical music. Neither industries worked out for him, actually he was banished from both. Finance for reasons unknown and the music industry for having sex with a cocktail waitress in the Entertainment Fusion gifting suite at the VMA’s. This was to the shock of all staff and celebrities present. As well as to the lead singer of Queens of The Stone Age who was originally assumed to be the culprit.

Johnnys latest “get rich scheme” was to reestablish himself in the world of PR. Almost every failed artist has this option as it is usually the case that people with the least talent need PR the most. If your craft is any good the masses will learn about it, but no longer because of anyone shoving it down your throat.

HSK was introduced to Johnny through a mutual acquaintance and former band member. We knew of Johhny as the former lover to another PR agent we previously reported on. You remember Romina Maggorno don’t you? Romi was the PR contact for a band Johnny was a part of. Unfortunately like so many before Johnny, the drugs and alcohol were too much for him to handle and he had soon deteriorated into being nothing more than another musician trying to make it on only a path paved with cocaine instead of talent.

When we finally met with Johnny we got a blanket pitch from him, not even aware of Jacky Jasper this seemed quite the hustle. How in the world of new media could the old approach even be considered? Better how could it be considered for Hollywood Street King which is actually riding the crest of new media. Johnny soon realized we were not suckers and it turned only to a partying relationship. According to Cole Dalton, the drummer of Johnny’s previous band “Only the Young tells HSK that Johnny picked fights with him every time they attended a publicity event after partying too hard. “He’s a total douche bag” and “full of shit” says Dalton. He added that “Johnny always liked to brag to me when I first met him about how he used to be a coke dealer back on the east coast”. Dalton also said that Johnny “started his business by ripping people off”.

Johnny has a real interesting neighbor out in Silver Lake. A guy by the name of James “Jimmy” Raskins who runs iNDELIBLE. Jimmy has quite the nose for blow. This guys dealer will bring 8 ball after 8 ball to the place on any given night. Jimmy ends up so cracked out he can barely utter a single word properly. Amounts of blow to the point that if you’re not selling it there ain’t much use to posses it. Jimmy being the creative director is someone you might expect to be high. Drugs usually enhance art it has definitely enhanced my art at times. Something I consider a useful tool. Jimmy on the other hand in my opinion is someone who uses that tool until the handle falls off. You should see this guy in action. One of our experiences after 3 – 8 balls Jimmy decides he is going to have a poetry reading. He could barely get through it when Johnny steps up to deflect some of the awkwardness.

Now I’ve seen that Johnny can handle his drugs, handfuls of Vicodin and Xanax here and there (from my personal stash I might add), lines of powder the size of coffee tables. Johnny steps up and rather than poetry, this joker reads a mason prayer. This poser actually reads a mason prayer. Turns out he had recently taken on a client who is a high level mason. Johnny being the dick rider that is decided he would become a mason. Do they even let creep douche bags join their organization? It was a total riot and a situation I really wish I had taken the camera phone out to record.

Why do PR agents in Hollywood feel the need to live the life of an artist. HSK has published stories on 3 Hollywood publicists, Ben Russo (EMC PR), Romina “Romi” Maggorno (Fusion), and now Johnny “Royal” Johnson and their problems are all rooted the same. Drugs, excess, and a whole misguided self-worth.
