Abortion Sparks Britney Spears to Snap: “I Killed My Baby!”
A group with a mission to bring “responsibility back to the entertainment industry” is looking to ban a Britney Spears song.
Spears’ track “If U Seek Amy,” has prompted The Parent Television Council to send a warning out to parents not to let their children listen to the track. They’re reasoning for looking to ban Brittany is because they believe when the title of the song is recited, it sounds like “fuck.” “There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song,” said PTC president Tim Winter. “It’s certainly not about a girl named Amy,” he said of the track, the third single from Spears’ new Jive album, “Circus.”
Now, the PTC is urging radio stations to not play the track between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., because they say it “would violate the broadcast indecency law.”
“It’s one thing for a song with these lyrics to be included on a CD so that fans who wish to hear it can do so, but it’s an entirely different matter when this song is played over the publicly-owned airwaves, especially at a time when children are likely to be in the listening audience,” Winter says.
Censoring sucks! These people are assholes for trying to shut Britney down. If they don’t like the song, don’t listen to it! I want to know if these same complainers have seen “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” or MTV’s “Teenage Pregnancy”? We are not living in the 50′s, and “The Leave It To Beaver” era is over. Has the PTC checked out the internet lately? Their kids are probably watching more porn than Ron Jeremey…quit complaining, and deal with the sign of the times.
