If anything, JJ is doing the world a favour by pointing out the transgressions these publicity-hungry whores are making day in, day out. If nobody draws attention to the elephant in the room, everyone will keep up the stupid pretense, and the stupid status-quo.
Did you ever listen to KHM’s album Game? I seriously doubt Jacky wanted to attend that awards ceremony, and by extension indulge in ‘let’s pretend’ games. There was probably not one artist in the building that could recreate the poetry of Jacky’s song ‘Deliverance’. When you get to those levels, you don’t want to let your personality take a step down. Attending something like that might be fun for a laugh, but so is going to the cinema.
Did you know that America has some of the highest levels of anti-depressant usage? Everyone goes around all positive-fucking-positive, and they come down on you like a ton of bricks if you mention something that has even a hint of darkness about it. Then they go in home and pop some Xanex.
I was watching the Glastonbury festival for a nano-second, and caught a glimpse of some band called ‘We are Scientists’ embarrassing themselves on stage. I had to turn it off quickly, as the urge to shoot myself in the head was getting very strong. Now don’t you think it would have been a good idea if someone told these jokers that they’re pathetic, and maybe raped them in the ass for good measure? Then we mightn’t be hearing about them. No self-respecting musician of bygone eras would subject an audience to that bullshit. They wouldn’t show their face until they’d got proficient at making music, and had something decent to write about it. How the fuck are people supposed to get inspiration when they walk around with their i-pod jammed in their ears all day? Might as well take a walk around the planet Mars.
So the other alternative is the one we’re faced with today, where clueless bitches, and feminine men are adoring them. Bigging them up to the point they think they’ve got the Midas touch and can put any old shit out. Consequently, people just go with the flow, and nod their heads and dance around like jerk-offs, rather than be seen as the party-pooper. In the process, they kill off a piece of their souls. Admittedly, not too many had much soul in the first place, so it’s no big loss, and that’s a crying shame. If you ask me, I think the world desperately needs some ‘hate’.
