Is Raekwon Moving To Toronto?

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

I’m getting word that Raekwon is currently having renovations done to an office space in Toronto, Canada. Know why? Because Raekwon is setting up shop across the border to take advantage of the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement mane.

Some of you might be confused so I’ll explain.

Raekwon is about to sign a bunch of Canadian artists to his label and it’s a smart move. Know why? Because the Canadian government gives large grants every year to their Canadian artists mane. Don’t believe me? Ask Sarah McLachlan.

Here’s what the Wu Tang Clan rapper had to say: Continue Reading…

Common Calls Drake “A Frank Sinatra Nigga”…Then Backtracks!

Friday, November 18th, 2011

The rapper/actor Common is highly upset at Drake. Know why? Because Serena Williams was teaching the corporate mainstream rapper Drake how to play tennis mane.

Has hip hop become a high school musical? I don’t know but I know this Common and Drake beef is kinda childish. Don’t believe me?

Here’s what Common said in his song “Sweet“:

Yeah, man, y’all ni**as man, you soft muthfuckers
Yeah my man, muthafcker
Then come around my crib
You know where I’m from
Some hoes ass ni**as
Singing all around me man, la la la
You aint muthaf-cking Frank Sinatra

Wait there’s more!!!

To Lose a Friend
By Jarred Weisfeld

On November 13th of 2004 I received a phone call late in the afternoon from Dirty’s mom, Cherry Jones. It was to tell me that her son, my dear friend and client Russell, or as she and I called him Rusty, had passed away.

At the time, I was in Florida visiting my parents. I was just in complete shock. Then, minutes later, I received another call from Cherry saying that Dirty was in a coma and that he hadn’t passed away. Moments after that, she confirmed that he had indeed passed away. I remember just walking down the street with my head spinning– confused and shocked at what had just happened. Rusty wasn’t just a client to me, he was a dear friend. He was a friend to everybody he touched. I remember calling Peter Frankel (Dirty’s criminal defense attorney) that night; he was one of Dirty’s biggest supporters. The two of them were close friends and Dirty loved him. He was one of the few people in Dirty’s life whom he really truly trusted. I remember his voice when I told him the news. He was in complete shock. He too had just lost a dear friend. Everybody Dirty touched couldn’t help but love him. He was the kindest soul. Continue Reading…
