What’s With Husband’s Taking on Their Wife’s Last Name?

Friday, December 10th, 2010

Men take Womens Last Name

Once upon a time, newly wedded couples say their ‘I do’s’ before following the tradition of the bride taking on her groom’s last name. It’s now come to a time when many men are far from following that tradition.

Here are three famous men who have taken their wife’s last name:

1. Jay Mohr – has added his wife’s last name Cox to his. I guess the name-change probably gets dude a lot of popularity in Hollywood male spa’s. The “Gary Unmarried” star seems to love being called Jay Cox. Let’s not forget that Jay rumored to be gay? Don’t believe me? Ask Robert Randolph.

2. Jay Z - has also joined the list of men who have taken on their wife’s name. The nine Grammy Award-winner is also known as Jay Hova, but since he has taken on his pop princess’ last name you can also address Hova Jay Knowles. I’m not surprise in the least — Jay is known to shave his legs, and the funny thing about that  is Jay Z is not even a cyclist or a swimmer! Continue Reading…

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

A former playmate is at the center of an attempted murder investigation after allegedly shooting her boyfriend.

Now, 66-year-old Victoria Vetri, whose real name is Angela Dorian, will have to come up with $1-million for a ticket out of jail — today, that’s what a judge set the washed-up model’s bail at.

The LAPD charged the former Playmate of the Year with attempted murder after her boyfriend told emergency doctors that Dorian shot him. The victim was rushed to hospital after an argument he was having with Dorian which ended with the former bunny shooting him in the upper torso. But, Dorian is singing a very different tune. Juan Williams — Fox News’ Biggest Token Negro

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

I once said Tavis Smiley is America’s biggest House Negro, but I now have a change of heart. I say the title now belongs to Fox News anchor Juan Williams. Know why? Because I believe this house nigger Juan Williams will do and say anything to please his white co-workers.

You may remember last week on “The View” Bill O’Reilly caused Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg to walk off of their very own set, after he said Muslims attacked us on 9/11 — not extremists. Now, Juan Williams says he agrees with O’Reilly, adding that when Muslims are traveling on the same plane as him he gets nervous. Continue Reading…

Elton John Joins Anderson Cooper in Gay Boycott

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Against Flick Using “That’s Gay” Term

The term “that’s gay” has quickly become a controversial saying after CNN anchor Anderson Cooper spoke out against the saying being used in a Hollywood trailer. Since then, the promo for the movie “Dilemma” has been pulled. Now, Elton John is in the mix. The Grammy Award-winning singer says he wants the GAY joke taken out of the movie altogether, and made his point be known during his appearance at the AIDS Foundation.

Here’s a statement from Elton John:

“Anderson is one of the most important people on television. His heart is in exactly the right place – same as mine. He thinks the way I do. He’s intelligent, and he’s on the side of what we’re on. I hate bigotry, I hate racial hatred. I hate sexual hatred. I mean, Anderson is on our side.”

Vince Vaughn, who stars in the movie “Dilemma”, doesn’t exactly see things the same way. To be sure, the actor says although he is anti-discrimination, he’s fine about joking about our differences. Continue Reading…

Ozzy Speaks Out Against The Westboro Church

Friday, October 8th, 2010

Ozzy Osborne Calls Out Fred Phelps

It’s no secret that the views held by many followers of the The Westboro Baptist Church rub many the wrong way. The Westboro Baptist Church has made a controversial name for itself through its anti-gay protests at the funerals of some of our fallen soldiers. Now Ozzy Osbourne is speaking out after members of the church’s congregation showed up on the steps of the United States Supreme Court, earlier this week, singing “you’re going straight to hell on your crazy train” — words taken from Ozzy Osbourne’s song “Crazy Train”.

Here’s what the Ozzy had say: “I am sickened and disgusted by the use of “Crazy Train” to promote messages of hate and evil by a church.” Continue Reading…
