Wiz Khalifa was busted for possession of marijuana in North Carolina last night. It happened shortly after the 23-year-old rapper finished a performance at East Carolina University. That’s when the “Black and Yellow” artist, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, headed back to his tour bus where cops arrested the rapper, as fans looked on — charging Wiz with trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Note to all rappers — It’s now mandatory for cops to pull over tour buses. Know why? Because they believe that you’re either strapped or hauling dope on your bus mane. So, I say do what old school rock stars like Alice Cooper did — let the promoter get it for you…list dope on your concert rider. Never travel with drugs — and if anyone in your entourage is holding steel, make sure they are licensed to carry. If you don’t follow these guidelines, you’ll give cops the green light to drag you through the system — and that can be costly. What’s worse? You could even end up going to jail.

A massive drug sweep spanning from New York City to South Florida has lead to the arrest of Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke. You may remember Burke made a name for himself after helping to launch rapper Jay Z into superstar status.

ICE agents busted Burke at his home in North Bergen, New Jersey, yesterday morning. But Burke isn’t alone — He’s just one of the 43-people booked during the 18-month long investigation. Mathew Stang, a senior ad rep at High Times magazine has also been busted in the sweep. Agents have also seized $1 million and 177-pounds of marijuana. Continue Reading…

California medical pot growers have join the ranks of organized labor. Over 40 growers have joined the Teamsters union, and they all have one thing in common — they work for Marjyn investments, an Oakland business which contracts marijuana growth for patients.

Growing pot is a good job to have during this lengthy recession. Know why? Because these gardeners, trimmers, and cloners are now set to set pensions, paid vacations, and raises (jumping from $18 per hour to $25.75 per hour).

Here’s what a Teamster who acted as the growers liaison had to say: “This is a whole new ballgame. I’m not sure what the union will do if it’s new members run afoul of federal law enforcement but I do believe state laws makes the industry legitimate.
