CBS Shoots Down ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ TV Seriesby Jacky Jasper
HSK Exclusive - A battle between network execs is being blamed for why CBS didn’t pick-up the ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ television series.
Sources reports the rivalry — involving CEO of CBS Corporation Leslie Moonves, and CEO of Paramount Films Brad Grey — is a situation that’s older than Jusitin Bieber. Don’t believe me.. Ask Bill Maher, whose “Politically Incorrect” was reportedly turned a casualty of their war back in 2002.
Sources say because Brad Grey approved the licensing for ‘Beverly Hills Cop’, aiming to use the series as an opportunity to return to CBS television, Leslie Moonves is aiming to shut down it all down. That’s why we’re told BHC is now being shopped at other networks including, NBC, ABC and TNT.
Here’s the drop:
“Beverly Hills Cop television show pilot-screening tested through the roof!
Lesile Moonves may have it out for Brad Grey, but he’s is looking more and more like a racist. Leslie is satisfied with having one black actor on his network, which is LL Cool J on NCIS. He really doesn’t want black actors on CBS. Just ask Martin Lawrence.”
