Chess Anyone? Jay Z Checks The NFLPA W/ A Queen!

May 23rd, 2013

Kimberly Miale Jay Z Roc Nation

Female Force To Head Roc Nation Sports…

Jay Z seems to be uses his bank to cut some corners around the NFLPA. That’s because the Roc Nation Sports founder is reported to have hired the services of a certified sports agent to head his sports home.

You may remember Jigga caught some static from the National Football League Association, after the group cited his “lack of education” for not meeting the league’s newly former “Jay-Z Rule”.

Now, sources say the rapper has enlisted NFLPA-certified agent Kimberly Miale to head Roc Nation Sports.

Here’s what Forbes is reporting:

“It only took a couple of days for National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) certified Contract Advisor Kimberly Ann Miale to make her mark as a part of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. Miale, who has failed to negotiate any active players’ contracts in the NFL, signed New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith and will now be tasked with negotiating his contract with the team that selected him in the 2013 NFL Draft.”

Is Jay Z bringing a young successful woman into a male-dominated world — filled with sexiest views — to the table just to piss the NFLPA off? Of course! Don’t believe me.. Ask John Meneilly.

So in order for a black man to have a successful company, you have to have whitey run it. SMDH

    [Reply]

    I CAN'T Reply:

No. It means the black man needs to play by their rules – the same rules that apply to everyone else – and be qualified to run it or he needs to hire someone else that is qualified. Do you know how many black NFLPA-certified agents there are? Maybe he couldn’t find one so he did the best he could do so they wouldn’t shut his dream ALL the way down. BTW those rules he’s following? Yeah… they were put into place to block his dream. He got around the rule and is keeping his dream alive. SLAM DUNK in they FACE!! LOL

And I’m not even a Jay Z stan/fan. But they tried to play the brother. They knew his intentions. Hell, everybody did because it was announced he was interested in opening an agency. They didn’t even tell him he wasn’t qualified to own/run an agency until AFTER he sold his stock in the Nets. They were hating on the man and wanted him to lose all around. No more stock, no more team ownership and no agency. Well, guess what? LOL!!!! Go Jay Z! Do ya thang!

Surgery, piloting, estate planning, lawyering, negotiation of financial instruments. Mr Magoo could do cano’s. he gon get 200 mil easy but these others. Why?

Look, I am all for Black men with the background and education to become sports agents. There are more than a few doing it right now. But I think Jay Z is strictly doing his mascot thing again with this. He is no more going to be doing hard core negotiations with NFL ownership than I am.

That’s how the Rockefellers, Duponts, Fords and the big boys got big. You find out who the smartest are and get them on your payroll under your flag and agenda.

    Top Sports agents:

    Eugene Parker: Valparaiso Law School
Clients: Ray Lewis, Deion Sanders, Emmitt Smith

Bill Strickland: Business Degree UCLA. Law degree Georgetown
    Clients: Joakim Noah

    C. Lamont Smith: Law Degree Howard
    Clients: Pierre Thomas, Ben Tate

    Al Haymon: Harvard Law School
    Client: Floyd Mayweather

What do these four black men have in common? They have law degrees. This is something Jay-Z doesn’t have. Jay-Z doesn’t even have a Bachelors degree. Every black child should look up to these four successful black men as models of excellence. Jay-Z is nothing but a highly paid snitch and a thug who gets paid to destroy the black community. You better believe he will destroy the careers of Skylar Diggins and Geno Smith the same way he destroyed the backside of Larry Johnson! Yeah I said it!

This reminds me of Oprah, when she started out and I expect she still does have more white people in higher level positions. Heck Oprah’s entire staff on the Oprah Winfrey show was 90% white.

I bet Jay Z is paying this lady right too. I guess in his mind he thinks that he will attract more whites and other races to his agency.

Seems like the only way to get to Jay Z’s socioeconomic level if you are black, one would have to sell out and or kiss up.

Gotta do what massa says. LOL

No I think in 2013, a great deal of the 96% understand their predicament exactly. They see the landscape and the playing field . Electronic communication has provided great leaps in information and education also.
I would estimate that about 25% of the 96% know what day and time this is and have decided thusly:

    1. To settle to make an honest midrange living where they will have minimal contact with the President of Hollywood and just give to Caesar what is Caesar while Rome is still relevant.

    2. To get close and play the up close game of greater financial reward but at the price of having maximal contact with the President of Hollywood in exchange for greater financial perks and crumbs…

Both 1 & 2 sell their souls because both participate in the same system but on different levels.

Difference being those who choose door #2 cant walk away…

Its different for a female slave than I is for a male slave.
The female of the species is genetically inclined to be submissive to the person of system who provides stability to their lives.

Men are genetically inclined to play the role of PROVIDER. when the ability to play the role survivor is usurped by a foreign tangent, it throws the whole society of of order and the women step way In respect and step to whomever is providing the societal stability (in this case the white man and his economic system and our women pay homage and alliegance to them through their current choice of hairstyle as a sign of loyalty)

I know a lot of ladies dont follow sports so let me break this issue down a bit. This was not a rule to exclude jay z. He is not even a pimple of the nuts of scott boras who is the biggest agent ever in the history of sports. His top ten clients could erase the national debt. If u recall the football season did not start on time last year. This was one of the smaller issues on the table. Please trust jay z did not hold up the start of the nfl season. So pls get that notion completely out of ur heads.

Jay Zs agency is signing baseball and basketball players. He has also signed the son of former nba hooper popeye jones who will be drafted NUMBER 1 in hockey in a few weeks. He is being called the tiger woods of hockey already. He is black/biracial. Jay z only doesnt meet nfl criteria so pls stop with the conspiracy talk.

I am perplexed at how some of these freaking anonymous persons get behind a computer that is probably in the public library and talk smack about people they don’t even know.

Some of you don’t even have sense enough to know that your words exposes you for who and what you really are.

I have a right to my opinions as do you. My father warned me about people who are always pointing the finger at others. My father would tell us to sit back listen and observe, you will learn a lot about a person.

So, all I got to say is clean up your own slave ship before you try to clean up someone else’s.

Yes, I am a black woman. I am a independent, strong, proud black woman. Know why? Cause my father raised me that way. For Real!!

What’s sad in this whole debate is that it took a high profile high school dropout to turn attention in the black community that being a sports agent was even a career option. Clearly had anyone, black, white or green done twelve minutes of research this could have been something our community could have excelled in. As usual, we bitched about the “man” making money off the backs of our star athletes and their superior athletic prowess. I signed with a black agent back in the mid-eighties when I was an athlete. The field has been around forever. We have to stop playing the victim as a community.

B.J. Armstrong reps Derrick Rose. He did it right. Got his law degree during the offseasons, cut his teeth in a couple of front office positions and now controls a quarter billion dollar contract. Jay Z has signed Robinson Cano as a high school dropout and stands to earn at a minimum ten percent of what is expected to be a 200 million dollar contract. How many of us wish we had been grooming our less athletic offspring to pursue such a career path? My point is stop bitching when other races take advantage of opportunities that are out here and have been out here for everyone all along. We are too focused on rappers and their stupid shyt. Had this been anyone other than Jay-Z most blacks would not have even noticed. And that’s truly the sad part.

Football (the NFL) is the only major sport where you cannot turn pro at 18 or 19 (or at least in theory because you need three years from your senior year of high school). AS a result “street agents” have three full years to pay mama’s rent, car note, etc. That’s a problem for the league. Street agents are the DDs in the hood and the slick middlemen on college campuses. If you don’t think they exist ask why Chris Webber can’t mention University and Michigan in the same sentence til next month without repurcussions and consequences. Hell, Nike has been hiring street agents for community based projects at the request of the top coaches and athletes for the past twenty years. They can better funnel funds to broke college kids that way. My understanding is there is a tiny loophole for shoe companies because schools have shoe contracts.

The bottom line is we need to look for heroes in places other than BET and these ratchet reality shows. (if you’re the type of person who needs to look for a hero.) There is a world of opportunity out here in the universe. Victims finish last.
