Chief Keef Fights For Freedom Over Probation Violation Chargesby Jacky Jasper
A Grim 2013 For Chi-Town Rapper?
Chicago rapper Keith “Chief Keef” Cozart is set to kick off the new year fighting for his freedom before a judge. That’s because Chicago prosecutors are looking to have the rapper locked up, after they say he moved out of his recorded residence – to an upscale Northbrook, Illinois home – without informing his probation officer. Now, Chief Keef is expected to stand before a judge later today over these latest charges of probation violation.
Here’s what AllHipHop is reporting about the situation:
“The sudden move has angered his probation officers and caused alarm for some of the residents of Northbrook, who fear his ties to the Black Gangster Disciples could bring problems to the neighborhood.
The rapper, who is on probation for pointing a gun at a police officer, is also facing a court date later in the month for a separate, alleged violation. In that case, Chief Keef is accused of holding a gun at a range in New York in a video for Pitchfork Media, in violation of his probation.”
Is Chief Keef about to lose his record deal with Interscope Records, over a low 50,000 first week of album sales? Of course. Don’t believe me.. Ask Fiddy.
