This is the first installment of my new series called “$3 Bootlegs”.

My mission behind $3 Bootlegs, is to look out for all of my readers by checking out a flick, before letting you all know if it is, or is not worth your hard-earned dollars at the cinema.

Some of you may be asking yourselves – Why is Jacky choosing to spend his precious time on such a project? Here’s why – I’m sick and tired people getting ripped off at the theater! So, from this day forth, I’ll be taking on the daunting task of reviewing all of the newest films, before or while they are showing in the theaters.

My first movie review is “Couples Retreat” – I enjoyed it for the price I got it for, but the quality was not the greatest. Hey, I only paid $3 dollars for it…so why complain???

“Couple’s Retreat” features – Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Kristen Davis, Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell and Jean Reno.

Bootleg Quality = 3

The movie’s premise was about three couples taking a vacation, all to save the relationship of one of the couples. They did so through a group discount rate. But, there’s always a catch… the group of 6 had no idea that their dream vacation package came with mandatory couple’s counseling/therapy.

My bootleg had a silhouette of someone’s head on the bottom,right-hand side of the screen. The silhouette was obviously evidence of a person who was sitting in front of the person who was filming the movie, in the theater. I didn’t mind it at all. Know why? Cuz I got the movie for 3 bucks. I even invited a girl over to watch it with me what a cheap date. Plus the movie came with it’s own laugh track…recorded while people giggled in the theater at some of the funny scenes. I give this bootleg film a thumbs up, but my advise is not to pay good money to see this bullshit movie – if you can get the bootleg get it!!!
