Father Fears Britney Spears Will Snap

Hollywood insiders say Britney Spears father is keeping a close eye on the singer in fear that she’s on the verge of another full blown mental meltdown. That’s because sources say the former Mrs. K-Fed and mother of two, has been displaying disturbing tantrums of screaming fits and pulling out her hair.

Now, Britney’s dad is desperately contemplating ways to help his daughter. “Her dad’s reaction was clear – keep it up and she’ll end up back in a mental ward,” says a close family source. “Britney had several meltdowns where she literally pulled out her hair, cut her hair and then called someone to put more hair extensions in only to pull or cut it all out again.”

Britney is no stranger to breakdowns. You may remember back in 2007 the world witnessed Britney’s cry for help after the singer shaved her head bald, and reports of Spears threatening to kill herself hit national airwaves.

Now, the singer is said to be depressed because her father is keeping a solid grip over her business, and isn’t letting go of the legal conservatorship he holds over it for at least the next three years. “Britney had her hopes up because her dad told her if she was good and did an Australian concert tour, which ended on Nov. 29, he would free her before Christmas,” says a source. “But when the court extended the conservatorship before Christmas, it shattered Britney. She was thrown for a loop.”

The situation reportedly lead Britney to lash out at her family, about her father. “Britney screamed at Jamie that he was making her crazy and that she didn’t know what she would do to herself if she had to continue to be a prisoner for three more years,” says an insider. “It seemed clear she was talking about attempting suicide.”

It seems to be that Britney feels like her family is using her, and guess what? She’s right. Affection is all that Britney yearns for, but it appears that Brit’s family love is for sale. To make matters worse, the pop star has a small allowance that leads her to sometimes use the credit cards belonging to her bodyguards – WTF?!?! Britney lives the life of a prisoner, and now her father is even threatening to check her back into the loony bin! What an asshole! Don’t you agree?
