As HSK continues to decipher the real life industry players in what has quickly earned the title of being hip hop’s secret gay scrolls, we want to test your skills (no pun intended).
Last week, HSK was the first to tell you about Terrance Dean’s “Mogul” – a very detailed layout recounting one artist’s (Big A.T.) journey as he struggles to land his dreams of making it big in the music business. The widely anticipated book, set to be officially released June 14th, is expected to shatter hip hop’s long kept secret of deeds which need to be met in order for some to land top hip hop success. Mogul’s characters have fictional names, so the reader is left to decide which character parallels the industry’s real life players.
Now, HSK wants to test your trivia skills. Starting now, for the next few weeks – twice a week, HSK will exclusively provide you with two excerpts from Mogul surrounding one of its characters. It will be up to you to decide who those fictional names really are! HSK will reward the winner with a free copy of Mogul on the day of its release, June 14th. Good Luck!!!
In this next excerpt from “Mogul”, Big A.T. reveals his secret sexual relationship with his up and coming artist, Tickman:
“The next few weeks me, and Tickman continued to make love every chance we could. I was really feeling Tickman. His style. Talk. Walk. Mind. Everything about him. I found someone I could trust. My soul was relieved. Tickman made me feel good. I was smiling and laughing more. Something was happening to me and I liked it… – but, we knew we had to take precautions. We needed to keep our cover. I was CEO of a record label, and his producer. It needed to look professional. We needed to maintain a distance. And it was difficult.”
Here, Big A.T. explains his satisfaction surrounding his successful joint plan with Tickman in keeping their sexual relationship on the low:
“Everything was working according to plan. Tickman was busy in the studio most nights and would sleep a lot during the day. I handled business during the day and stopped by the studio at night for the recording sessions. We were making sweet music together.”

Jacky, I’m gonna go with the less obvious choice–Diddy and Shine. That might explain why Shine OD’d on religion–he might have been struggling with some sort of guilt and felt he needed to become a nappy beard wearing Israeli to cope with it. There’s lots of animosity there now as well. And we know its not always about just the money(or a gun charge).
He’s probably also mentally scarred after having to see Diddy naked.

This quote leads me to believe it’s Biggie or Mase. Usher was too young and hadn’t yet developed a style and his mind was too young to have much to offer. But Biggie on the other hand sounds like the person being described.

I remember during the 90′s when I lived in the ATL, that people in the radio industry were whispering that Puffy and Biggie were messing around with each other (oral) and were hosting bisexual orgies up in NYC & the ATL.
Remember when Puffy owned a nightclub in Midtown ATL???
Midtown neighborhood is a predominantly gay area in ATL, it just so happens to be where all the hip-hop clubs are, just sayin…
Or either Puffy & Usher…remember Usher said in a past interview that Puff exposed him to many sexual experiences when they lived together…wouldn’t that be considered pedophilia??

Well Diddy and Usher are already pretty much confirmed. I remember reading some groupie shit somewhere where this chick stumbled into the wrong room at a party and saw puffy going down on usher, or maybe other way around. It’s Diddy & Biggie. (I know, I Know, I don’t want to believe it either). I would said Mase but he didn’t live in Brooklyn. Check it:
–Usher was still a boy (15 yrs old) far from a MAN.
–Craig Mack is from Long Island
–Mase, Loon, GDEP & Black Rob from Harlem & lived there & Jersey
–Shyne was from Brooklyn, but Diddy was with JLo at the time & wasn’t around like the early Bad Boy days.
–When Mario Winans signed with Diddy, it was NOT his first album.
–Carl Thomas looks suspect, but again, he signed in 1999, Diddy wasn’t really around for studio time like that. Don’t know where he lived after moving from Chicago.
–Although from Brooklyn, Red Cafe didn’t sign to Bad Boy until 2009, by then, Diddy didn’t work that close with his artists.
–Jodeci was from NC & lived in the Lowes condos off 95 in Jersey plus was signed to Uptown long before Bad Boy formed.
—Heavy D was from Mt Vernon & was also signed to Uptown long before Bad Boy formed.
–Mark Curry (dude who wrote the book) was from Atlanta
This had to be the early years of Bad Boy when Diddy worked closely with his artists & was actually involved with the creative process.

for clarification… The character of the novel paralell real life industry insiders or artists.
This means the situation described may be fictional… however the characters are based on real people as known by terrance.
I can tell you for sure it is NOT biggie..I am not guessing I know who is being talked about here from jacky himself..
