Jacky Jasper Bio
Meet Jacky Jasper…
Jacky Jasper is an internationally-acclaimed California-based blogger – known for his strong liberal views, controversial stance on urban culture and pop media, and use of the world stage to ‘lend a voice to the little guy’. He is the founder of DiaryOfAHollywoodStreetKing.com.
Jacky Jasper has been recognized for his exclusive in-depth investigations by a slew of national and international media outlets including: Dateline NBC, KTLA, Star Magazine, Radaronline, Global Grind and Hip Hop Weekly. Jacky Jasper’s voice was first introduced to the entertainment industry back in 1998, with the release of Narcissism – a rap/hip hop//funk-fused independent album, featuring collaborations with legendary recording artists including: Roger Troutman, Bootsy Collins, Ohio Players and Coolio. The success of the west coast rap collection – charting in all markets and listing on Billboard Magazine’s Top 15, with no promotion – led to the births of later musical collaborations with Ike Turner and Rick James. Jacky Jasper’s Keep My Shit Clean – featuring Kool Keith, Roger Troutman, Esham and Chino XL – was released in 2002; followed closely by the release of simultaneous albums Day Of The Jackal and Trans Euro Xpress. Jacky Jasper & Kool Keith’s joint album release, produced by Chilly Chill (Da Lench Mob/Ice Cube), 7th Veil: Stoned – featuring musical collaborations with Snoop Dog, Flava Flav, Jewel, Kurupt and Silkk The Shocker – was release in 2004.
Jacky Jasper’s raw and uncut commentary eventually made a crossover – from being featured in his music as a rapper, to shaking up the world of blogging as an urban guru – with the 2008 birth of his brainchild DiaryOfAHollywoodStreetKing.com. As HSK entered its third year, Jacky Jasper branched out from online posts to simultaneous print publications – gaining a Hip Hop Weekly column titled ‘The Latest From The Hollywood Street King’. Jacky Jasper’s unfiltered daily word – delivered through the international platform – has landed him the indisputable recognition of one of the entertainment industry’s leading voices.
