    It’s such a relief to hear someone express these views at long last. It’s as if everyone in the world has intentionally gone stupid, and is choosing to ignore the elephant in the room: namely, the insulting ridicule of Jacky’s girlfriend, music. To add injury to that insult, the perpetrators are bragging and grandstanding like they’re the best that has ever been, adding all sorts of vanity and grandiosity into the mix.
    You put your finger on it exactly: it’s all just a steaming pile of ‘cute’, choreographed, lick-ass culture that has totally lost sight of the reality of what music is all about. People are all to busy facebooking each other and living their own pathetic, voyeuristic little slices of celebrity to notice how ludicrous it’s gotten.
    I’m delighted you’re taking a step back from the madness, and getting a live band out on the road. The world needs to see bands up on stage again, jamming for 40 minutes the way Miles and James Brown used to. Like Kool Keith says about the new jacks in the industry : their stage show is weak.
    Those English interviewers couldn’t even poke fun coz the reality of what you were saying was too stark. There’s a ‘too cool for school’ attitude in England these days, but there’s bound to be some arrogance if your country basically conquered most of the world and invented nearly everything in it for the last 200 years.
    Thanks for putting it down. Now where can I hear the radio show with Eric B that you mentioned?

    Yo I never like leaving a negative comment unless its meant to be funny…. so on a lighter note- well I dont have a lighter note. I dismiss all this music these days, and thats cool for me, or anyone educated or doing well or something but on the bottom- well I pray and wish people could be in to some more groovey stuff. Man Im finding myself again with some music Ive been getting into lately- Its so cool but I aint even gonna exploit the point. People have choices…. they can get into what they want to get into. Seek, and it might take a while, but I wish- and think you will find. If not you’ll find a whole lot of bad, and maybe find yourself, and get back 2 your roots like me!!
