Dear Jacky,
Why does everyone (who is not known or broke) assume that every rich and famous person had to sell their souls to get there. Did they forget that some ppl actually worked very hard for YEARS to obtain the fruits of there labor? And another thing, I’m very sure that a lot of ppl in the industry are closeted, but that doesn’t mean every guy or girl who looks good likes the same sex…and I for one want to know why is it that Jacky stands up for gays one minute then are bashing them another.

Though not all artists in the entertainment business end up broke, history as quite a track record showing most black entertainers usually do end up broke — this even after a chart-topping and successful career. Haven’t you seen TV One’s “UnSung“?
You can work hard all your life as a entertainer, but there’s always someone working twice as hard to take away your money! I would tell you to ask Michael Jackson, but he’s dead.
All success, in entertainment or any other field is directly related to the amount of work put in. I don’t subscribe to the idea everyone sold their soul for success, but there is proof some have severely compromised their values. Call it what you will.
Not everyone in the entertainment business is gay, but there’s a lot of same sex hanky panky going on. Don’t believe me? Ask Bruce Willis.
I have and always will stand up for the underdog. Know why? Because the majority of right wing folks always seem to pick on single mothers, minority races and the gay community, and any side Pat Buchanan’s on…I’m on the opposite of that shit.
I don’t gay bash…that’s for guys like Bill O’Reilly. Some people, like LA Reid, maybe born gay – but guys like that are working their hardest to turn out straight young men. Don’t believe me? Ask Quincey Jones or Stephen Hill. Closeted Men within the industry are also a serious cause for the spread of sexually transmitted disease. So I am more like a public service announcement for whats right!

I agree with Jacky on this but I am not buying the “born gay” theory. Hetero & homosexuality are sexual preferences/practices, it’s a decision one makes or accepts, which newborns are oblivious to.

How do you know that for fact?? If your straight and you’ve always been that way how’d you feel if someone up and told you weren’t born that way?? How would they know?? You need to educate yourself on human sexuality. The “Kinsey scale” describes the level of sexuality. From being Exclusively heterosexual to being Asexual or Non-Sexual and everything inbetween.

I am straight and if someone told me otherwise, I wouldn’t feel any kind of way about it because behind closed doors, I know who I am. How can what another person say hold weight on my sexual orientation? Just because some scientist does “research” and creates theories does not make it fact. Many theories are accepted only to be proven wrong down the line.
In a nutshell, nothing beats good old fashion god-given common sense so just because you’d let some “expert” dictate your sexuality doesn’t mean I’d fall for that bs… no disrespect but to be frank, I could care less about a “Kinsey scale”. I’m comfortable in my own skin & when everybody starts to embrace themselves and their love ones, then most homosexuals won’t make desperate attempts or create oblivious theories for acceptance from the outside world.
What this all boils down to is society accepting gays and gay rights.

Facts change because they are man made but truth never change because it is above the need for man.
That is because people use cyberspace as there real for all accurate information when in fact there is a lot of information withheld from the net. I like to research and some across limited information all the time on the net.

Being gay is not a choice, and you’re NOT born gay. It IS a preference. Just like I prefer dogs instead of cats.

Part of your comment is contradictory because a choice is a preference. A preference is defined as the power or opportunity of choosing; hence it is a choice.
People can choose on whether that want to sleep with man or woman therefore hetero/homo sexuality is a choice. This goes back to having free will. Choose wisely or deal with the consequences of that choice.

I strongly feel some ppl may have events happen in their lives that influence their sexuality & who is to say @ what age does this happen. However, know for a fact God does not make mistakes. There is evil in the world & we are born in sin so ppl make excuses but GOD makes the final decision.

I agree and I think that children are always targeted in this world whether by media, other child or adults. Now when I ride past most any junior high school most children are smoking cigs and they were targeted by the tobacco companies. Children are rarely protected because parents feel that it is there duty to be selfish.

Well I don’t believe in the u are born Gay. But 2 each its own in what u believe. I do believe been Gay is a sin and also its a spirit. Loved the answer Jacky, you betta speak! I agree with almost all of the comments, except the folks quoting Kinsey. Kinsey was a sick, child-molesting, devil-worshipping racist who skewered his statistics. Furthermore, his testing was very unscientific.

Gay sex is a choice i don’t believe for one second people are born gay or bisexual. I made a choice years ago to try gay sex and i did. I didn’t like it and never did it again. I made a choice to go back to heterosexaul relations because that is a choice i made.
