“Before I Self Destruct”, is 50 Cent’s forth, and final solo release – as part of his current agreement with Interscope Records. It’s a list of 16 tracks, featuring lyrical content from Eminem, Lloyd Banks, R Kelly, and Neyo – and producers Dr. Dre, Havoc, Rockwilder, and Polow da Don.

Two of my favorite trouble makers combine their talents with 50 on the song titled “Psycho” — ya gotta love it. R Kelly laces the “Could’ve Been You” track, which is a message to chic’s who didn’t fuck with him prior to his success…I can relate — can you? Just when you think 50’s done, he hits you with “So Disrespectful” and “Crime Wave” — these tracks are perfect for when I’m working out at the gym — Ask Carmen over at LA Fitness, she listens to them, while doing her cardio.

To tell you the truth, I woke-up this morning and played “Stretch”…a track based on economics and how to stretch your work…a song definitely for the gangstas. I must admit that I will not listen to “Baby By Me”, featuring Neyo. Know why? Because I now have major quams with Neyo after learning he takes pleasure in openly insulting women who HAVE TALENT but also have issues with their weight — what a hypocrite! He’s tight with Mariah Carey. I wonder if he’s told Mimi about her abnormal figure???

Overall, “Before I Self Destruct” is a great album. Though Rick Ross’ album was higher on the charts during its first week of being released, it’s better than the former correctional officers last project. BTW, one of my favorite songs on 50’s album is titled “Gangstas Delight”…a must hear!

I recommend “Before I Self Destruct” to all my readers who are looking to hear a decent hip hop album. It’s music to ride to, music to workout to, and there’s also songs you can fuck to…what else do you want? THANKS 50!
