Jamie Foxx Pulls Takeover Of MLK Role!by Jacky Jasper
HSK Exclusive - We’re learning Jamie Foxx may have had ulterior motives when he spoke at D.C.’s ‘Let Freedom Ring’ ceremony, back in August.
Sources say Foxx’s speech at the Lincoln Memorial was nothing more than him taking the stage to audition for the part as Martin Luther King, Jr. … after gathering details about King from Harry Belafonte.
“Jamie mimicked the Civil Rights leader … knowing full well that Oliver Stone was looking for someone to play Dr. King’s part.”
Here’s what Jamie Foxx declared from the D.C. stage:
“What we need to do now is the young folks (need to) pick it up now, so that when we’re 87 years old, talking to the other young folks, we can say it was me.”
Here’s what Access Hollywood is reporting about the MLK biopic:
“The actor [Jamie Foxx] is in talks to play the civil rights pioneer in an upcoming biopic from Dreamworks and Warner Bros. Oliver Stone is reportedly in negotiations to direct the project. Steven Spielberg will produce the film and members of MLK’s family will serve as executive producers.”
Did Jamie Foxx attend the 50th anniversary of MLK’s March on Washington just to prove to Stone and Spielberg that they need not audition any other actor to play King’s role? Of course! Just ask Idris Elba.
