Jill Scott Tells Record Label to F— Off!!

Executives at a Los Angeles record company Hidden Beach (founded with Michael Jordan money) are pissed after their golden girl bids them farewell via handwritten note.

Three-Grammy Award winner, Jill Scott, says she’s “moving on” while her former producers say she only fulfilled three of the six albums the singer originally agreed upon.

Now, Hidden Beach Records has filed a lawsuit against the songstress.

Court documents reveal that Hidden Beach alleges they discovered Scott, and claim that they were “rolling the dice and betting everything it had on an unknown talent” when they welcomed her on board. The independent label also says it “poured it’s heart and soul into making the poet and soul R & B singer/songwriter Jill Scott a superstar.”

Hidden Beach also claims that they spent $450,000 on the production of one of Scott’s concerts, before the songstress decided to bail out of the project.

I had the pleasure of sitting next to Ms. Scott in 2000 on our way to perform in Las Vegas. She was very humble and told me how she had just recently signed to Michael Jordan’s label. She was riding coach on Southwest Airlines.. My how things have changed for her.

Hey…I have nothing bad to say about Jill Scott. Even if Jill’s, wrong she’s right in my books. Why is the label crying? She made them their money back, and more! They had her in their balls and chains, and slavery is over! They should let Jill do her thing. Don’t you agree?
