Lil Wayne is set to perform a final farewell concert at Madison Square Gardens, before beginning a year living behind bars. The rapper is expected to begin his sentence come February 2010.

If you can’t make it to New York for the concert, you’ll still be able to check it out on HBO. Jay Z, Drake and T.I. are among some of the artists who will share the stage with Lil’ Wayne. Gucci Mane seems to be missing from the roster. Know Why? Because Gucci Mane is currently serving time. Now, as T.I. is being set free from prison, Lil Wayne will be losing his.

It seems like artists who serve time are constantly using it as a part of their marketing campaign. Know why? Because the Americas kids love gangsta shit, proving that their favorite rap star is a tough guy mane…. Don’t believe me ask Lil Boosie?
