Lil Wayne Gives Away $100k

HSK Exclusive - Lil Wayne is using a $100K prize to bait people into buying his latest album, “Carter 1V”.

A source within the Cash Money camp told me:

Wayne will be packaging up a prize ticket within a new Carter IV cd, for one lucky buyer to find– a ticket that can later be cashed in for a hundred big ones.

I say it’s a brilliant idea, and one which Jay Z and Kanye should have thought of. Rather than destroying a quarter of a million dollar Maybach, turning the luxury vehicle into a Doom Buggy for a scene in their latest video “Otis”.

Was that a diss to Rick Ross and Maybach Music? I don’t know but I do know that Lil Wayne giving away a 100K is a good idea.

I like the “Otis” song because I am old school mane. I was a kid when Otis Redding was doing his thing. The video, left me with a question mark. Why destroy the car? And where were the pretty black sisters?! If you could afford to destroy a Maybach in your video you could’ve hired more chicks to party and drive crazy with. But I guess those four girls were supposed to be dime pieces, huh?! SMH

You put other women in videos, nobody complains.

It only goes to show how some black men think so little of blackness they will only put it into their videos to be degraded.

I like the song Otis but the video was stupid. It just goes to show how reckless and wasteful people with money can be. The car was the most expensive thing in the video, but they chopped it up for purposes of spinning around in circles for their own amusement, then had the nerves to donate it to charity. Just dumb.

I think Lil Wayne’s idea is brilliant. Fans are out here hurting in this jacked up economy. At least someone gets it.

From a marketing standpoint it is a great idea! Hope people will be seduced into buying the cd in the hopes of being the “chosen ;lucky one”. If it works, the label will profit greatly, and so will one lucky winner.
