P. DIDDY WAS NEVER ABOUT THE MUSIC
Sean “Puffy” Combs recently made two consecutive appearances on the Home Shopping Network, announcing his new woman’s fragrance “Empress.”
During the television shop for all event, the Bad Boy CEO also sold-off a number of items from the Sean John fragrance line, giving away a free bathrobe to anyone who bought his holiday gift set.
“I have a very sensitive nose. I don’t like things to be overbearing and this is not that type of fragrance,” Combs stated during the broadcast. “It’s a very clean scent, a very sensual, seductive scent. It’s the type of scent you want to get up close and personal with.”
Combs’ entire scent collection is reported to have sold out just 15-minutes following his appearance.
P Diddy knows as much about fragrances as he does about music. He’s simply applying the same method to his fragrance line that he applies to his music. He’s as much as a fragrance-maker, as he is a producer. Don’t be fooled — there’s an underpaid team of fragrance specialists who create the perfumes and colognes, before he stamps his name on them. This is very much comparable to his so-called ‘musical productions.’ Let’s not forget the fact that he’s an actor…and a good one at that. Remember “Monster’s Ball”??? He’s taking his acting skills and applying them to all aspects of his life --
He ACTS like he can produce music, he ACTS like he can design clothing, and he ACTS like he can create fragrances. And guess what? The Home Shopping Network loves him for just that.
