PAFF: “Free Angela & All Political Prisoners” Lands Best Documentaryby Jacky Jasper

The story of political icon Angela Davis proved to shine above 22 other nominated doc’s introduced at this year’s Pan African Film Festival. The Shola Lynch film “Free Angela & All Political Prisoners“ took the title of PAFF’s Best Documentary – after closing the the annual film festival to a standing ovation, Sunday.
The documentary’s April 5th release will mark the 40th anniversary of the acquittal of Angela Davis and chronicles her journey and role in the well documented case — featuring interviews with her lawyers as well as FBI agents who were on the case and journalists who covered it.
