Pharrell Williams has filed a lawsuit against Will.i.am, over the “I Am” trademark war between the pair. Pharrell confirms Will.i.am sent him a cease and desist letter informing him that he owns the rights to all things with an “I Am” element. Now, he’s firing back.
Here’s what’s being reported:
“Pharrell Williams claims in his lawsuit, in contrast, the I Am Other mark means ‘I am something else,’ leaving what that ‘else’ is to the imagination of the consumer. It certainly does not mean ‘I am Will.’
Pharrell is asking a judge for written permission to continue using the “I Am Other” trademark.”
Did Pharrell Williams say Will.i.am uses “I Am” no differently than Dr. Seuss? Of course. Don’t believe me.. Ask Shae Haley.
