POLANSKI APPEALS SET TO GO BEFORE U.S. APPEALS COURT

The California 2nd District Court of Appeal is set to take in Roman Polanski’s arguments, December 10th.
It’s all a part of the legendary film director’s tireless effort to have his 30-year-old sexual assault case dismissed.
You may remember Polanski plead guilty to drugging and raping (then) 13-year-old Samantha Gelmer, back in 1977. To escape sentencing, Polanski turned fugitive in 1978, after being convicted of statutory rape.
Back in September, Swiss Authorities arrested Polanski at the Zurich Film Festival. He’s reported to have requested bail, three times. Those requests have been denied, citing the “Rosmary’s Baby” director as a ‘flight risk’.
In late October, The United States entered a formal request to extradite Polanski back to the U.S., where Swiss authorities say he’s looking at up to two-years behind
