Rap Music Banned In Brazil Town

If you’re caught listening to rap music in Rio De Janeiro, you could be looking at six months behind bars.

That’s because Mayor Jose Neto has banned funk and rap music. Mayor Neto says rap and funk music are associated with gangs and drugs. WTF?

I hope that everyone recognizes that these are the same people that would have a seven-year-old girl as their Samba Queen, which is fucking disgusting! Plus, this Mayor in Jose Neto is a asshole. Know why? Because he’s into censorship mane! Since the Mayor is picking on the poor people, it seems like he also a racist bastard who believes in separation of financial classes.

This is ridiculous – but not surprising to me.

In Toronto we have Caribana – a HUGE Carribean festival – and there was some violence awhile ago. They ended up banning rap AND dancehall. How can you have a Caribana without Dancehall?

It’s Caribana no Hip/Hop no Dancehall just Calypso music…That’s their rules… They get drunk and they get crazy…Dance Hall & Hip Hop are more like The Blues…Calypso is more like Fusion Jazz with a quick tempo and u must wear a costume…
