Sade Shows ‘Em How It’s Done!

Just when I started to lose all hope in today’s so-called ‘talent’, Sade has emerged to show these bitches what talent really is! And, that talent doesn’t involved showing her crotch, singing upside down, imitating Cirque de Soleil, or a video with 20 synchronized dancers in mini skirts — Sade did it her way, and WON!

Finally, a true artist is topping the charts! Sade’s first release in almost a decade, “Soldier of Love”, has sold more than 501,000 units across the United States, and has secured the number one spot here in the United States, Canada, France and Switzerland – and is ranked number four in the UK.

Sade Adu’s successful comeback was made with little to no hype, something which artists like Lady Gaga, Rhianna and Beyonce remain strangers to. That’s because those ‘artists’ rely greatly on hype and promotion, in order to try and push more records.

“Everyone in the business knew that Sade is a talent with longevity, but even we have been taken aback by the extent of her success with this new album,” said a music insider.

Sade is reported to live a modest life, in a small Gloucestershire house, and does not thrive on being in the spotlight. Some of her close friends have even been known to compare Sade to legendary recluse, Howard Hughes — dubbing her with the nickname “Howie”. (That’s a far cry from the fake singers a fame whores out there who are flooding the airwaves.)

The natural talent, whose estimated worth is £30million, has toured just once in the past 14-years.

I’ve listened to “Soldier of Love”, and it reminds me of the records my mother used to play on Saturdays, while doing laundry. But, guess what? That was good music I heard while growing up. I guess what Sade is trying to do is to leave us some good music for this generation to remember. That’s something which remained to be heard, that is…until now. Don’t you agree?
