L.A. REID TO BE REMOVED FROM UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP
HSK has received a handful of comments from people claiming hollywoodstreetking.com is a gossip site, but guess what? They are so fucking wrong.
I do not base HSK posts on gossip, they are based on facts, and information as we know it. For instance, it’s a fact that Doug Morris, CEO and Chairman of Universal Music Group, is reported to be retiring come June. It’s also a fact that Interscope Records is reported to be solely releasing singles, in the coming future — Ask Jimmy Iovine. My very credible inside sources also tell me that the only person to be guaranteed a job at Universal Music Group is Sylvia Rhone, because she made her start in the music business as Doug Morris’ assistant. I’m also told that Def Jam Records will no longer be a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, because it will folded under the umbrella of Universal Music Group. Plus, it’s reported that L.A. Reid is set to be removed from Universal Music Group — Ask Chris Lighty. (more…)
White America was pissed with Kanye West after he crashed Talyor Swift’s speech at the VMA’s. Pink and George Clooney can confirm that!
Apparently, Kanye’s beef stems from him thinking Taylor didn’t deserve to win the best female video award – Not when his friend, Beyonce, was in the running. (Honestly, I don’t care. Know why? Because I don’t listen to Beyonce’s or Taylor Swift’s music.) Because he pulled that stunt, Kanye became quietly banned from a number of award shows and Hollywood events. And, since the Kanye-Taylor incident, Taylor has won virtually every award the music industry has to offer.
Now, the same people who cheered Taylor on are contradicting themselves, saying Taylor can’t sing. Why is this? Is it because she sang out of tune while performing at the Grammy’s with Stevie Nicks? I don’t know. But, I think white America should give the kid a break, and apologize to Kanye…or at least give him a pass back to their silly award shows and Hollywood events. (more…)
She’s an feather-brain herself anyway. She’s not tuff or even talented, so she’s not really in a position to look down her nose. Like you said, she sold out herself before, and that doesn’t surprise me in the least. You can tell from one look at her, or 30 seconds of listening to her (if you can stomach it for that long) that she’s just a fame-craving narcissist who’d sell her mother’s snatch to a gang of prisoners, if it would get her 5 mins of air space.
She didn’t touch a nerve or anything, and I’m not defending Beyoncé (although she’s probably one of the better of the modern pop musicians, if you can call them musicians). It’s just that criticism needs to come from a valid source. When some good musician comes out with criticism, then I’ll listen. And guess what! Pink is definitely going to get mentioned in the same breath as all these other wack artists
Matthew Knowles’ long history of tricking has finally led to him to losing his wife of 29 years.
In a recent statement released to the public, Tina and Matthew Knowles commented on their pending divorce.
“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly, messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”
This comes after a string of Matthew’s jumpoffs surfaced, and a case pointing to Beyonce’s dad as the father of an illegitimate child. (more…)
Eminem has done it again. Billboard is following Nielsen Soundscan and naming Eminem as the Top Artist of the Decade. Six of the seven studio albums and collections Em released in this decade reached or debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, while two of his 20 songs to chart on the Hot 100 singles tally hit the top spot there (”Lose Yourself” and “Crack a Bottle”).
Other than Eminem NO-ONE else on this list is actually worthy beyond their sales numbers. Most of these acts are just hype with little to no substance. Usher at #2 is now most famous for his brief marriage, child and divorce. Nelly is completely irrelevant, 50 Cent has moved on to biiger more profitable dealings, Alicia Keys is a hack, Nickleback is sub-par at best, Britney Spears doesn’t even sing and Jay Z is out dated by a decade having produced no original music or talent in years!

Amidst recent stories on the rumor mill of Beyonce taking time off from the spotlight in the coming year, HSK has confirmed that’s not the case. That’s because Mrs. Hova has signed a multimillion dollar contract with Wynn Las Vegas. We’re told she’s set to take over the Encore stage after Garth Brooks wraps his 16 weekend contract with Wynn Las Vegas. Brooks signed on with billionaire resort tycoon, Steve Wynn earlier this year. It’s finally confirmed that Beyonce has let all of her fame and fortune go straight to her (weaved-up) head. Know why? Because the egomaniac wife of ‘Hova,’ had the audacity to kick Lindsay Lohan out of a dressing room that is reported to have been bigger than that Samantha Ronson’s dude.
It all went down over the weekend, at the F1 Rocks concert in Singapore. That’s where Lohan was hosting the live event (for the British Television, Channel 4), and Beyonce took center stage for a performance.
