After speaking with Ice this morning, HSK would like to clear up recent stories of affiliation between Ice T and certain individuals. Ice has reiterated that oftentimes he is photographed with people and mistakes can be made as to his association with them. We miss reported the association with Ice. For that we apologize to our readers.
I can attest to the fact that most rappers tend to be cheap, when it comes to their crew. Know why? Because they’re insecure mutha fuckers mane!
I’m sad to say that many frugal rappers don’t pay their entourage shit. If you don’t believe me, ask Beanie Sigel. Beans openly admits that Jay Z pays his opening acts just $1,500 a show, while the so-called god – “Hova” – makes a half a million a show!!! Which will bring me to ask the following question: Is Jay Z a good boss, let alone a good person? With that evidence on the table, I’d say that it’s safe to say HE IS NOT. Know why? Because most of the people under his wing, ain’t living that life. (more…)
NE-YO is playing for the same team. He even composed a song called, “When He Kissed me”. Now, we all know that Ne-yo writes songs for other artists, but this just may be his male rendition of Katie Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl”. Here’s my philosophy – If you could think it you can do it!!! Guys like Ne-yo have to transform their minds into that of a woman’s mental space, in order to write these garbage ass love songs. To be sure, know that I’ve never listened to his stuff. Know why?
Because he makes music for soft men, and girls who live in fantasy land. Basically, people who buy Ne-Yo’s songs are also fans of Hallmark cards. With that said, how can a street dude listen to Ne-yo? How? Ne-yo is a modern day Johnny Mathis, and any dude who dares to be caught listening to a Ne-yo record, is very questionable in my books. Buss this!!! I have absolutely nothing against gay people. I’m a firm believer in being yourself, and not being ashamed of who you are! I was very pleased after once being told that the Gay Mafia are avid readers of my blog. I thank them (and you) for your interest and support. Stay tuned, BECAUSE I WON’T STOP! (more…)
In the second part of our exclusive interview with hip hop legend, Mickey Benson, he tells up how the grandfather of hip hop ventured to the motherland to discover their new moniker “Africa Bambaataa and The Universal Zulu Nation.” Benson also reveals how the West Coast’s first recognized rapper, Ice T, made his east coast connection.
If you want to learn all about hip hip, Benson’s definitely your go-to guy. Know why? Because he was there from the get-go. Why do you think he was the spokesman for “The Zulu Nation”? I must say that I enjoyed what I learned while speaking with Benson, so pay attention because you’ll learn something too.
Here’s how West Coast’s hip hop connected to East Coast’s hip hop. Take a listen…
30 Years in the game and Russell Simmons wants to refer the the OG ICE T like the fuckin drink — Ice Tea?? WTF!!! Who is this hustler of black culture tryin’ to fool? I guess if you are a rapper and you denied Russell Simmons gay advances then he doesn’t really know who you are. At least not your PROPER name!
