The man we all know as Doctor Greene from the hit television series “ER”, has been making it his life’s mission to help children in Africa, over the past 14-years. With a shocking, but true statistic that 80% of African kids die without ever seeing a health care professional, Edwards is embarking on his biggest project to date…the construction of a $15 million Children’s Hospital in Africa. Founded in 1995 to provide shoes for Africa. Edwards  joined Shoes 4 Africa, as the very first Chairman in 2008 . It began through the collection of shoes to send to Africa. As a result, kids of the ‘Mother Land’ had footwear to run in. After just one year, the largest races were held in both Kenya and Tanzania.
