Talk About ‘Dumbing Down the Generation’…

Do you know the name of our Country’s first President? If your answer is no, you’re not alone. Some shocking statistics from a recent study say 3 out of 4 American teens (in Oklahoma) don’t know who was our first Commander in Chief. WTF? (Let me give you a hint…his image is smack dab in the middle of the front of a dollar bill. (Something I’m sure most teens hold just about every day.) But, with teens watching an estimated 7 hours and 12 minutes of television every day, I bet you they all know all the latest details on Britney Spears and Lil Wayne. Won’t you agree?

Check this: The United States Government receives more than 7.5 million applications from immigrants yearning to land a pass to live right here, on “The Land of Opportunity” – an estimated 92% of those would-be Americans not only knew the names of our country’s fore father’s, but also how many justices are on the Supreme Court – (those are just a few historical facts they need to know be granted the green light for taking their Oath of Allegiance).

What’s worse?

I’ll tell ya…a whopping one-million American teen girls get knocked-up every year. And guess what that means? We have to pay for this delinquency, with our hard-earned tax dollars. I ain’t trying to sound like a damn Communist here, but I think the Government should start to seriously consider regulating parenting. Won’t you agree? Countries like China are going to take over the world if America doesn’t wake-up and smell the coffee.

But wait, there’s more: 1 out of 4 American teens are estimated to catch a sexually transmitted disease every year. Herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea and genital warts are reported to be the most common. Seems like our teens are more concerned with sex and vanity, than their education. Gee…I wonder why? Is bad parenting to blame for these shocking statistics, or MTV…OR BOTH?
I mean why are 15-year-old girls looking to get breast implants and ass injections? I’ll tell you. Because, our society has become obsessed with self-proclaimed fame. Who’s to blame? Your idols! (Rihanna, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson….and the list goes on and on.) Doesn’t anyone care? I say NO. Know why? Because every day, there’s a new Heidi and Spencer born on the idiot box. And American parents are sitting down with their child to watch them.
