If you don’t know anything about Lil Wayne (other than his music, and recent run-ins with the law), than you probably don’t know that Lil Wayne aka Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. is a very private man.

Now, Lil Wayne is opening the book on his life through an in depth film about his experiences called “The Carter Documentary.”

The movie initially landed rave reviews at its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Now, QD3 is bringing it to you.

In a recent interview, here’s what QD3 had to say about Lil Wayne: “He is a very private person; really, when he is on stage is the time when he is the most public. All the rest of the time he’s just with a few friends. It’s him and his music, he’s recording non-stop. Even on his tour he goes to his hotel room and records all by himself. He does one song after the next. He is more private than you’d think. He has fun and he hangs out and he does his thing but I would say that he’s not who you would envision from the videos.”

According to QD3, Lil Wayne gave the flick the thumbs up, and laughed and smiled during his first time checking it out.
