“You’re gonna die poor, drunk… and alone.”

The season 3 finale of Californication was the best episode of the entire 3 seasons. The drama brought together three seasons of back and forth between Karen (Natascha McElhone) and Hank (David Duchovny), with the love of Becca (Madeleine Martin) dangling in the middle.

“You’re just chasing the dragon. We’re never going to live happily ever after.”

I’ve followed this show since the first episode because honestly I could relate to the drugs and sex, but the show was little more than fluff. Nonetheless I stayed watching. Also I swear the stint David Ducovany did in sex rehab when tea Leoni briefly left him during the “PROMOTIONS” for the second season premiere was to much of a publicity stunt. Not a usual sign that a series will have much substance. I was put off a bit but whatever. Watching 11 or 12 episodes a year I’ve downloaded for free is not much bother.

The scene above is the highlight of all that time. Perhaps season 4 will be worth watching. Tom Kapinos nailed this last scene of the season!!
