Will.i.am: “I Am Not Suing Pharrell & I Never Was”

June 28th, 2013

Will I Am Twitter

Denying Due Diligence?

As reports of Will.iam’s lawsuit against Pharrell Williams continues to spread, the the Black Eyed Peas founder is denying what’s penned in official court documents connected to the case.

In a slew of recent tweets shooting down those reports, Will.i.am insisted “i.am not suing @Pharrell” while plugging a long list of his ‘i.am’ charities.

Here is what Will.i.am took to twitter to say:

“i.am not suing @Pharrell & I NEVER WAS.. What i.am doing is… #iamSCHOLARSHIP sending kids to school debt free. go2 http://www.iamANGELfoundation.org.”

“i.am not suing @Pharrell & i never was. what i.am doing is #iamHOME helping families keep their homes… see http://www.iamangelfoundation.org.”

“i.am not suing @Pharrell and I never was… what i.am doing is #iamangel TRANS4Ming inner cities with #STEAM tools… http://www.iamangelfoundation.org.”

“i.am not suing @Pharrell, I NEVER WAS what i am doin is #iamSCHOLARSHIP sending kids to college debt free http://www.iamANGELfoundation.org. question: what do you do with success…? what do you do with time…? what is this all for…? answer: #helpPEOPLE.”

Is Will.i.am taking jabs at Pharrell Williams by pointing out his use of his “i.am” logo to help others, rather than using it for a silly clothing line — like Pharrell is? Of course. Don’t believe me.. Ask Adam Leber.

I can respect what Will is doing, but I wish he had an emphasis on blacks more so than all. Others don’t include us in the all, so we should make sure that we are the priority.

Black churches take up millions and remains rather exclusive. Pastor Porkchop and his women who make the congregation should invest more in the community their in and the youth that they breed. White celebs set up all inclusive charities often to help disenfranchised urban youth which 10 out of 10 times is black headed by a single working mom. Its admirable for him to do something righteous then again im not one to question how people use their time and resources.

You are on the money with this statement! I work for a Youth Program and of course we cater to Black youths. We have to fight with the Feds and out governor, who is Bobby Jindal, a total racist asshole who may be a candidate in the next presidential election, to try to keep funds rolling in.

We have about 1 million churches in Louisiana; however, while their churches and cars get fancier every year, the Black young women and men in our communities continue to dropout, get arrested on bull-shit charges and work mininum wage jobs, with no hope of obtaining their GEDs or proper work certifications.

I’m trying to learn the grant part, get my credit straight and do a Oprah on they ass because America cares more about homeless and battered animals than homeless and battered people.

With all that is going on, I repsect his reply because he was on his game. They expected him to come back with anger and animosity, and instead he he came back like, “I’m bigger than that, and my concerns are on much bigger issues.

In other words , he is saying that he isn’t suing Pharrell but the corporation whom he labors for.
