Willow Smith Snubs Show Biz…

Willow Smith Quits Show Business

“How about I just be 12?” ~Willow Smith

Willow Smith seems to want nothing more than to experience a normal childhood. That’s because the 12-year-old ‘Whip My Hair’ singer is reported to have turned down the chance to play Annie, alongside Jay Z and Beyonce.

Will Smith revealed just that while he was promoting his summer blockbuster ‘After Earth’. According to the actor, Willow has decided to quit show business — in order to go to school and hang out with friends.

Here’s what Will Smith revealed:

“Willow chose singing and then un-chose it. She said, ‘Daddy, I want to go to school with my friends during the week, and I want to hang out with them on the weekends.’ At the peak of ‘Whip My Hair,’ she’s like, ‘Daddy, I’m done.’ I was like, ‘Wow, wow, wow. No, baby, I got Annie the upcoming movie remake, co-produced by Jay-Z, you know. It’ll be New York, you’ll be with Beyoncé. You can bring your friends.’ And she said, ‘Daddy, I got a better idea. How about I just be 12?’ At the end of the day, it has to be their choice.”

Is Will Smith lying to the media again, like he did a few weeks back — when he claimed Jaden Smith wanted to move out, before retracting his statement? Of course. Don’t believe me.. Ask the actor’s younger sister, Ellen.

  1. She’s very intelligent and mature for her age. I believe that she made the decision because she understood the possible negative effect that it was/would have on her mentally.

Please fix This area –I’m tired of being tricked into oPening unwanted advertisments.

  2. Good for Willow. I didn’t know that Beyonce and Jay Z had roles in the movie. We all know that Beyonce can’t act, so that alone should have been reason enough for Willow to back out.

I truly do wish Willow the very best because she has her whole life ahead of her.

  3. Willow is just like any other preteen. She wants to be a kid and maybe music seemed like a good idea at the time but it was probably too much for her to commit to. I don’t see anything wrong with it. The family makes enough money. Let a kid be a kid. Oh and btw…every time I click on an article, I’m redirected to ITunes and some candy crush app (I’m on an IPhone). It’s pretty annoying. I enjoy this website but the ads are ridiculous.

  4. I guess somebody has to be the parent…Its sad that it has to be a 12 year old.

Jada and Will are very busy queer activities to have time to properly parent.

  5. since jigga likes young girls he might be waiting on willow to become 14 and have his way with her.

    • Im sure Jada and Will would be happy to turn her over to a wealthy insider as her handler so she can hurry up and get ut of THEIR house and get her own cash.

    • So what happens to the child that is exposed to the industry and wants out? This worries me. You know she has seen and heard too much already.

  6. Maybe she rejected it because it’s a musical and she KAINT SING! Normal twelve year olds don’t have piercings or look like a Parliament Funkadelic.

    • Yea, someone who is in the Entertainment business contracted as a singer who cant sing. That would have been a first.

      • I’m guessing u were trying to say Rhianna can’t sing either but for the record, I saw Rhianna in concert a couple months back. And she sang for real and she sounded great. The girl’s got pipes! Trust me, I was shocked too.

        • Rihanna cant sing in videos. She sounds like shes milking a squirrel. I can only imagine how terrible even with all the technological advances of dubbing and tracks.
Its just soft core porn without the money shot.
          A waste of $70 bucks.
At least you can take the $70 and actually get a hand job or something.

          • Well. I will say Rhianna wasn’t good at singing when she first came out (Alicia Keys neither..let’s just be real). And her accent made it worse! And considering the easy songs she sings you might, its easy to believe she can’t really sing but nope. She’s got a good voice. Good enough to sing a ballad. Which she did! Maybe her music isn’t for everybody, but she actually can sing. And I say this about her and I’m not even a fan like that–her concert was just something to do while I was out of town. Now I’m not saying she’s Aretha Franklin or nobody but…

            • And by the way, her tickets were more like $285 and we were not front row either. Maybe $70 for the nose bleed seats. Lol

            • Fuck! $285 to listen and watch this stiff, tone deaf chick flash her herpes ridden snatch over for 45 min- 1hr.?

For $285, I could buy a Guatemalan maid and at least get my house cleaned.

          • Lol. Trust me, if I wasn’t out of town, she wouldn’t have gotten a dime from me. I didn’t pay THAT for Jill Scott Tickets.

      • Thank You! I’ve been telling people FrankenBerry can’t hold a note…She needs to go back to making cereal. Do what you know….

  7. I’m with you on this one Jacky: this is a made up bullshit story. Will & Jada are using their kids to stay relevant. Sad.

  8. Good for her, and good for Will, it appears that Willow loves her Daddy because her momma Jada is crazy. No wonder Willow has so many issues. Dealing with a crazy, self-centered, self-absorbed mother like Jada would cause any child to be very confused about life, and who she is a person.

  9. Yes I thought I was the only one. I’m a fan of this website but it’s is aggravatin it always sends me to iTunes in the middle of me readin PLEASE FIX!!!!!!

  10. I know this is mean to say about a 14 year old child, but I’m afraid she may end up having a lot in common with her mama if you know what I mean.

  11. Acting or not this child still has along way to go to find a sense of normal…a 12 year old child needs guidance and that is EXACTLY what she is not getting..so a 12 year old left to figure things out on her own is still a danger to herself
